Lead data analyst
Role Summary
The Lead Data Analyst will be responsible for conducting quantitative analysis to establish objective and accurate views of global business operations, producing valuable insights for leadership and recommendations to improve performance. To excel in this role, it is essential to possess analytical skills, a problem-solving drive, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact. A quantitative mindset, proficiency in database concepts, and a comprehensive understanding of large-scale logistics processes are crucial. Proficient project management, coupled with a professional acumen, enables you to effectively lead discussions with stakeholders.
This is a full-time hybrid position located in the Washington DC-Baltimore area that allows for some remote work (2 days onsite, 3 days remote).
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any relevant field from an accredited institution
Ability to obtain clearance for working on government contracts (U.S. Citizenship required)
Proficient in Oracle database, SQL, and Excel
Research, develop, and test data methodologies, and generate cross-functional solutions through the collection, analysis, and interpretation of large datasets
Deconstruct analysis, show analytic process and methodology, validate the tools used to create analysis, and provide recommendations based on analysis
Perform data modeling with relevant software applications or tools
Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills, with a track record of presenting complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders and distilling meaningful insights from the data.
Apply data visualization through different formats such as pivot tables, power queries, and business intelligence tools to support senior executive decision-making processes

Power BI Developer
Role Summary
This is a full-time remote role for a skilled Power BI Developer responsible for creating and maintaining dashboards and reports, drawing insights from data, and communicating findings to stakeholders. Additionally, the Power BI Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support during implementation processes.
Role Responsibilities & Competencies
Power BI Development - Design, develop, and implement interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports.
Power Automate Development - Create flows for a host of use cases, including to automate data feeds to Power BI or to automate notifications and alerts based on triggered events.
Data Visualization - Work closely with business analysts and data modelers to understand data requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.
Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) - Utilize DAX to create complex calculations and measures for data analysis within Power BI.
Data Integration - Integrate and transform data from various sources, including Snowflake, to ensure accurate and reliable data visualization.
Report Performance Optimization - Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for enhanced performance and responsiveness.
Agile Development - Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver Power BI solutions iteratively.
Quality Assurance - Conduct thorough testing and validation of Power BI solutions to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data, reports, and dashboards.
Documentation - Prepare comprehensive documentation for Power BI solutions, including data source connections, data models, and report specifications.
Expertise - keep up-to-date with the latest Power BI features, best practices, and industry trends.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any relevant field from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Power BI development, with proficiency in DAX, SQL, and other BI reporting tools
Experience with data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning
Ability to develop and customize dashboards and visualizations, as per business requirements
Experience with data warehouse design and development
Knowledge of data management and security protocols
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and across various levels of the organization
